Larry Page is one of the co-founders of the search engine, Google and is currently serving as its Chief Executive Officer. Born on March 26, 1973, Page had computer scientists for his parents. His father Carl Vincent Page was a computer science professor at University of Michigan, and his mother Gloria Page also taught Computer programming at the same place.
His first interaction with computers began at the age of six when he started playing with the computer stuff lying all around him. At a very early age, he realized that he was eventually going to start a company. He got his bachelor of science degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and went on to study for a Masters at the Stanford University. There he met Sergey Brin. They both describe their first meeting as lively one, with both of them debating things. They eventually found a subject, which was of great interest to both.
They together worked on, what is widely considered as their seminal contribution, a paper called “ The Anatomy of a Large Scale Hyper textual Web Search Engine”. They invented a search engine called BackRub, which was later renamed as Google and also built a Page rank algorithm based on which the search results would be provided. This algorithm is used till today in their Google search engine. In 1998, using a $ 1 million investment from Sun co-founder, they incorporated their company Google Inc. and got themselves a new office in Menlo Park, California. Over the next few years the company grew with an astronomical rate with many new innovation being added to the company’s list of products. Page married Lucinda Southworth in 2007 on Richard Branson’s carribean Necker Island. Page also pursues active interests in alternative energy vehicles and has invested in companies such as Tesla Moters, which develop vehicles which use alternative fuels. After the company went public in 2004, Page’s net worth rose to a total of US $ 12 billion and made him the 27th richest person in the world. As of latest records, his net worth stands at US $19.8 billion. Together with co-founder Sergey Brin, he was honored with the Marconi Prize in 2004. He is also a trustee on the board of the X PRIZE, and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2004.
Larry Page has a historic peace of property for his home. He bought the deed of this place for approximately $ 7 million. The complete lot is spread over 10, 00-0 feet. He has built another home on the same piece of property, which is 6, 000 sq feet in size. This new home is completely environment friendly. This is a modern, three level mansion, which has roof garden along with solar panels making it a quintessential green building. It also has a 3, 500 sq feet basement and an elevator that stops on all the three floors. The basement consists of kitchen, multipurpose family room and a guest bed room. Page also owns three adjacent properties.
In January 2011, the Google co-founder added to his long list of toys a high-end expedition yacht named “Senses.” Costing a little over US $45 million, the 193-ft yacht was bought from renowned Kiwi businessman Sir Douglas Meyers. . However, for an inquisitive mind that Larry has the decision was not as easy as it seems. He took his own sweet time, chartering similar yachts to gain a clear understanding of how these yachts operate, the finance involve and other details. The yacht was completed in 1999 by German boat-makers Schweers.

This Yacht has its interior designed by the famous French designer Phillippe Starck. It comes with a helipad, gym, ten luxurious suites and multi level sun decks. Page and his family can enjoy the breakfast on the deck before retiring to the living rooms where they can enjoy movies through a movie projector mounted on the ceiling. Among the army of its high-utility toys the main are a classic 8.5 meters Herreshof sloop, a helicopter and a 13m runabout that could be launched from the back of the mothership.

The yacht offers very comfortable accommodation for up to ten guests and a crew of 14 in its five guest cabins: three double and two twins. The owner's suite is 12m wide and has a walk-in wardrobe.

Senses has a steel hull and gross displacement of 1143 tonnes. Two Deutz AG engine power the yacht by producing a combined output of 3200 HP. The yacht has a rather humble maximum speed of 14 knots, and can cruise for 6500 miles at 11.8 knots cruise speed.
